The Best Farms To Visit In Kentuckiana This Fall

My favorite time of year has to be the fall. When the leaves start to change here in Louisville things get really majestic! The Kentuckiana (Louisville + Southern Indiana) area houses many amazing farms that open up to the public for a little out of the city adventure. Thousands of family’s flock to these farms during the fall months to enjoy the final fruits of the outdoors and harvests for the year. From apples to pumpkins and all the fixings in between, It is a must go place to enjoy year after year.

In this post, I am going to break down the top farms to hit up this year and what each one has to offer in variety and experience. If you have family coming in town or are looking for a super cute day date inspo, you will have plenty of great options to choose from. So strap up your trendy ankle boots and pull over your chunky knit sweater cause its time to hit the hayrides!

Gallrein Farms

Another family friendly farm atmosphere with apple and pumpkin picking, local produce, honey, eggs, meats, and other treats. The market and playground are open through the week and weekend during the fall season and a corn maze is also on the property. Again, no alcohol is served here.

Huber‘s Orchard & Winery

Serves alcohol!!!! Not only that but they have great pizzas, live music, pumpkin patch rides, a restaurant, and a market. The market has a great bakery inside where they bake breads and you can even get house made ciders as they also carry apples grown on the farm. A petting zoo and ice cream shop make it a kid friendly option as well.

Evans Orchard

Make sure to try one of the apple cider donuts, something they are known for! Evans Orchard is another fantastic option for fall farm fun offering tractor truck rides to go pick apples and pumpkins as well as goodies to take home. Farm fresh goods, baked goods, and gift items can all be found in the market but no alcohol is served here.

If you are having trouble choosing just one farm to visit this season then I invite you to tour them all! They each offer something unique from the other and provide beautiful views of rolling hills and fresh products that you can’t get at your local Kroger. Once you get a lung-full of the purest farm quality air, you will make sure to come back year after year. Did I miss one that you absolutely love? Let me know in the comments below!
